Ancestors in Aprons Had a First Birthday Yesterday.
April 27, 2013
A few short years ago I celebrated another first birthday:
Thanks for reading Ancestors in Aprons, and I hope you’re enjoying the journey as much as I am. Much more to come in Year Two–including
- More vintage recipes
- Letters from another Civil War veteran
- A visit to Massachusetts to seek out the stories of My Grandmother Vera Stout Anderson’s ancestors–Howe, Stone, Death (yes, that is a surname), Bassett and others.
- And of course the continuation of #52 Ancestors as we find the stories of more fascinating people.
Fasten your seat belt, first birthday out of the way, we are approaching the terrible twos.
Happy Birthday ancestors in Aprons, and the letters of Erasmus and his plight during the Civil War is real touching, it puts you there. Your dedicated work is appreciated by many. Keep the information flowing . Our Wayside adventure will open many more stories….Best….Herb
Herb, yes, it was sad to say goodbye to poor Erasmus. And I’m preparing a whole series on the How/Howe ancstors who ran the Wayside Inn that will start in about a month and run until September when we arrive there. I know that I’ll have lots of stories to pass on after our trip!
